Brandi Asbill joined UTHSC College of Nursing in October of 2022 as the project coordinator for the HRSA Advanced Nursing Education Sexual Assault Examiners program. Brandi received her bachelor's degree in nursing from Western Governors University. Brandi has more than 15 years of registered nurse experience. Her areas of practice include emergency medicine, pediatric emergency medicine, pediatric trauma, and outreach education.
As an Outreach Coordinator for LeBonheur Children’s Hospital, Brandi was responsible for providing and coordinating educational opportunities for outlying rural community partners. These partners included rural clinics, EMS personnel, small community hospitals and registered nurses. Brandi provided simulation education for pediatric trauma patients, pediatric mock codes, and PowerPoint presentations. Brandi was a liaison between LeBonheur Children’s Hospital and the outlying community to see that pediatric patients received the best possible care regardless of the lack of resources
