Kia Scott-Sellers, MSN, RN, FNE, serves as a PACT RN Care Manager for Veterans Affairs (VA) and a forensic nurse examiner in Omaha, Nebraska. She achieved her MSN in leadership from Methodist College and obtained her BSN from the College of Saint Mary. Currently, she is a third-year Ph.D. student at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska. Mrs. Scott-Sellers resides in Papillion, Nebraska, along with her husband and canine companion. With a profound dedication to her field, Mrs. Scott-Sellers concentrates her research efforts on military populations, specifically addressing military sexual trauma (MST) – encompassing any form of sexual assault or harassment experienced during military service. Actively engaged in numerous professional organizations and the Institutional Review Board (IRB) at the VA, she is committed to advancing the understanding of MST and its implications. Mrs. Scott-Sellers is enthusiastic about expanding her knowledge in the field of forensic nursing and is eager to contribute to ongoing research. Her passion for improving the well-being of military personnel drives her pursuit of impactful research within the forensic nursing domain.
