SANE Team Lead (Coordinator)

Amy Taylor Signore, DNP, MSN, BS, RN, SANE-A, is the SANE Team Lead (coordinator) for HSHS St. Elizabeth's in O'Fallon, IL, clinical instructor for Southwestern Illinois College. She also serves as Chair of the Board of Directors for Metro East Every Survivor Counts, President Elect for the IAFN Illinois Chapter, and Governance Chair for Sigma Theta Tau McKendree Chapter. She has earned a BS in Healthcare Management from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale, a BSN and MSN in Nursing Education from McKendree University, and a DNP in Nursing Leadership from McKendree University. She resides in O'Fallon, Illinois.
Dr. Signore is focused on improving outcomes for sexual assault survivors beginning from their first disclosure and throughout their lifespan. Within her facility, she has dedicated herself to increasing the number of SANEs and mentoring them through their practice and to bring awareness to all departments on trauma-informed care of the sexual assault survivor. For the past three years, she has worked with McKendree University to improve their student educators on recognizing, responding, and reporting incidents of sexual violence. She serves on multiple, statewide committees that work to improve Illinois law for sexual assault survivors.
