(P20) Pelvic Health Physical Therapy and SANE: The Collaboration to Improve Sexual Assault Survivors' Health Outcomes

This poster will demonstrate how collaboration between Pelvic Health Physical Therapists and SANEs can improve short and long-term health outcomes for the sexual assault survivor and improve sexual assault awareness throughout the hospital and surrounding community.

Learning Outcomes:

Increased knowledge about:
  • the implementation of a multidisciplinary approach for the treatment of sexual assault survivors to reduce the structural barriers to equitable healthcare.
  • the benefit of pelvic health physical therapy and SANE collaboration on short and long-term health outcomes for sexual assault survivors.
  • the advantage of an interdepartmental collaboration to increase community awareness of available services within the hospital setting.
