We are working to aid victims of violence by creating innovative solutions to capture, analyze, and process images and bruise data. Leveraging artificial intelligence and specialized imaging techniques, we will provide crucial support to those most in need. Our efforts are focused on helping victims with darker skin tones whose bruises may be less visible. Combining AI and alternate light sources, we significantly enhance detection of injuries. Our process is informed by carefully considering the victim and clinician experience.
The EAS-ID bruising project is tackling disparities in medical and legal outcomes related to injury assessment, objectively considering diverse individuals and environments. Our team includes clinical, engineering, and health informatics experts with an established track-record of federally funded collaboration.
