Amanda Amore is currently employed as the Clinical Director for Texas Forensic Nurse Examiners: Forensic Center of Excellence (TXFNE). She graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from The University of Las Vegas in Nevada and is currently pursuing her Master of Science in Nursing for Nurse Educator. She has been a nurse for 10 years, serving in various roles including the emergency department five of which were at Texas Children’s Hospital. She became a forensic nurse in early 2018 and is an active member of the International Association of Forensic Nurses (IAFN) and holds her SANE-A and SANE-P certifications as well as her CA/CP credentials from the Texas Office of Attorney General. As the Clinical Director, she oversees a clinical manager and 20 forensic nurses in their day-to-day practice. Amanda also frequently provides education to other community partners on various forensic nursing topics. She is a member of multiple SART and multidisciplinary teams in several counties.
