Dr. Jillian Conte is a Physical Scientist in the Office of Investigative and Forensic Sciences at the National Institute of Justice. She has over 15 years of experience in the forensic science field where she has performed casework as a forensic biologist, taught countless undergraduate and graduate students, and held a role in industry. She was a Fulbright Specialist with a host country of Belize. Dr. Conte has earned a doctorate degree in cell and molecular biology (University of the Sciences, Philadelphia, PA), a master’s degree in forensic science (Cedar Crest College, Allentown, PA) and a bachelor’s degree in biology (Misericordia University, Dallas, PA). Dr. Conte holds certification from the American Board of Criminalists in Molecular Biology and a graduate certificate in Six Sigma. She is a member of the DNA Consensus Body of the Academy Standards Board, International Association of Forensic Geneticists, American Academy of Forensic Scientists, and the Northeastern Association of Forensic Scientists.
