Joelle Hirst, BSN, RN, SANE P/A, SANE-A, is the Manager of Norton Healthcare's Pediatric SANE Program. She has been a registered nurse since 2009 and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in nursing research to enhance her impact as an advocate for necessary change. Joelle is the proud mother of four children and resides with her husband and children in Louisville, Kentucky.
Joelle strives to empower SANEs and other professionals across disciplines to unite around a shared vision of child sexual abuse prevention and improved care for survivors of sexual and domestic violence through research, education, policy, and practice. She was the 2022-2023 recipient of the Academic Daisy Award from the University of Louisville’s School of Nursing and was designated a 2023 Young Professional Voice Leader by the American Organization for Nurse Leaders (AONL).
