Bethann Groot, RN, BSN, CEN, AA-SANE works as the SANE Coordinator for Rush Oak Park Hospital. This is the sister hospital of Rush University Medical Center, where she also works as a SANE, bedside nurse and charge nurse in their 60-bed ED. Bethann has had over 30 years working in a variety of roles throughout the healthcare system, in the Chicagoland area. In her many years serving the public in the community, she has developed a passion for advocacy and acquired many skills to help patients and healthcare workers deal with the very real stress of life today. Her most recent projects involve bringing staff from all disciplines together in an effort to promote healing and wellness, as well as preventing burnout and vicarious trauma.
