Gina Goss has been in nursing for 2 decades and a focus in forensics for the 13 of those. She is a certified forensic nurse and obtained her SANE A and SANE P certifications through the IAFN. She began her career in a community based forensic nursing role before moving into a leadership role in a forensic nurse examiner program at a Level I trauma center. She had been in a leadership role since 2015 where she developed and provided training to multiple SART teams, 81sr SARB, Army SHARP, Air Force SARB, law enforcement, medical personnel, and attorneys. She is a member of the SC State Human Trafficking Task Force, SC Forensic Nurse Task Force, the York County Domestic Violence Fatality Review Committee, and a seated member of the IACME. She became a board certified advanced forensic nurse examiner in 2024. She expanded her career in forensics when she joined the York County Coroner's Office as a deputy coroner in 2018. She received her fellowship from the American Board of Medicolegal Death Investigators in 2023. She has been involved in multiple child fatality reviews, death investigations to include all manners of death, and multiple infant death investigations.
