Lyndsey Cotton BSN, RN, MDI, OR-SANE, PSANE works as a Forensic Nurse Investigator for the Josephine County District Attorney's office in Grants Pass, Oregon. She has been an RN for 12 years and is currently in graduate school to obtain her FNP. Lyndsey's nursing background includes the emergency department, corrections, psych and outpatient surgery, to name a few. She has been a SANE for 11 years and expanded her forensic nursing practice to include medicolegal death investigation since 2021.
Lyndsey's passion for forensic nursing is deep and what prompted her to obtain her FNP. She hopes to help grow the field and encourage other nurses to pursue this unique area of nursing. She believes nurses make the best death investigators and hopes to inspire others to create their own death investigator program based on the needs of their community.
