Shalotta Sharp, RN, SANE-A, SANE-P is Special Projects Coordinator/State SANE Coordinator for Mississippi Coalition Against Sexual Assault. She is also a TeleSANE for the University of Arkansas Medical Science Systems and a Consultant for the Department of Defense. She is a 1996 graduate of The University of West Alabama, School of Nursing. She resides in York, AL. Mrs. Sharp is responsible for education and technical assistance to any agency that is involved with serving victims of Interpersonal Violence. She established a Pediatric Forensic Exam Clinic in Meridian, MS, served as a consultant to the MS Attorney General Office and serves on the MS Human Trafficking Counsel. She is currently a member of the IAFN (International Association of Forensic Nurses) where she previously served on The Board of Directors, Director at Large, Government Affairs Committee, Conference Planning Committee and The National Pediatric Protocol Working Group. She is a member of the AL and MS State IAFN Chapters. She has been awarded the Jackson Free Press “Hero of the Year Award”, the IAFN “Service Award” and MS Attorney General Office “The Amy Clayton Victim Service Award”.
